What is Estimated Reach?

Learn what Estimated Reach is, how HypeAuditor calculates it using machine learning, and what factors influence the result.

Written by Iren

Estimated Reach indicates the estimated number of people who are likely to see an influencer's post.

Since not every follower sees every post published by a creator, Estimated Reach is an estimate rather than an exact value. It is designed to provide a more realistic expectation of a post's potential visibility than the total follower count alone.

To calculate Estimated Reach, HypeAuditor uses machine learning models based on several factors, including:

  1. Follower count – Larger audiences generally have the potential to reach more people.

  2. Audience Types – Accounts with a higher proportion of Real People and Influencers are typically expected to have higher reach, while a larger share of Mass Followers and Suspicious Accounts may reduce the estimate.

  3. Average likes and comments – Consistently high engagement indicates that followers actively interact with the creator's content, making it more likely that future posts will also reach a larger portion of the audience.

Estimated Reach helps advertisers compare creators based on the expected visibility of their content rather than follower count alone, making it a useful metric when planning influencer marketing campaigns.
