YouTube Audience Overlap report allows you to check overlapping audiences between different Youtube creators to refine your influencer list for your campaigns.

1. Check overview metrics

Right in the overview of the report you can see the following metrics:

Unique audience - the percentage of unique subscribers from the Total Subscribers value.

Total Subscribers - represents a sum (=not unique) number of subscribers of all channels in the report. If we multiply the Unique audience by Total Subscribers, we will get the approximate Total number of Unique subscribers of all channels in the report.

Potential Budget - the sum of prices for an average advertising integration post across all channels in the report.


Prices for an average post for each channel separately can be found in the basic YouTube report. Click on the influencer's profile pic to open the report.

Average ER - total ER of channels calculated for the last 180 days.

Audience Gender - the most common gender and percentage of the presence of this gender in the total audience across all channels.

Audience Age - the most common age and percentage of presence of this age in the total audience across all channels.

Audience Country - the most common country and percentage of presence of this country in the total audience across all channels.

2. Analyse overlap matrix

  • Numbers next to profile pictures indicate the number of channel's subscribers.

  • Big number in the intersection cell represents the amount of subscribers that follow both compared channels.

  • Percentage below indicates intersection percentage of these two channels. It is counted as the number of subscribers that follow both channels divided by the total unique number of subscribers in both channels.

  • The intersection is paired, and it is mirrored in both directions.

3. Compare selected channels in more detail

Click on the cell in order to see more information about compared channels.

The number of subscribers for two compared channels can differ a lot. Therefore, it is important to understand the percentage of intersection of the total audience from each channel separately. That what the percentage of Subscribers overlap are meant for.

Subscribers overlap for channel A is calculated as the number of subscribers that follow both A and B channels divided by the number of subscribers for channel A only. The same procedure is done to calculate Subscribers overlap for channel B.
