Likes-Comment Ratio

Learn how the Likes-Comments Ratio metric in HypeAuditor reveals imbalances between likes and comments on an Instagram account, which may indicate artificially boosted engagement.

Written by Iren

The Likes-Comments Ratio shows whether an Instagram user gets more likes or comments. A significant difference from similar accounts might mean that either the number of comments or likes were increased artificially.

A major difference between either the comments or likes number can be an indication of an artificial boost. If an influencer purchases the same number of likes along with the same number of comments, all the dots will be concentrated in a bubble. A chaotic distribution of dots can indirectly indicate an organic level of engagement.

At HypeAuditor, we use the latest 30 posts to calculate the Likes-Comment Ratio.

To assess whether comments themselves are genuine, see Comments Authenticity.
